Human Pin ball.

After a week of putting up with lovingly nurturing a sick child. I hadn't been able to find the time to run. So this morning I checked the weather dropped the boys at their respective schools and headed out.

W will be 3 in 18 weeks. I will Run VCM in 18 weeks. So today I officially started training. I have been gearing up my body and mind for my schedule since January started and I 'm ready. I know that the next time someone gets sick I won't have the luxury of hanging up my kicks and snuggling in. I'm not saying it will be easy to put them on, but will have no choice, I've already made my choice. gulp.

I tied my kicks on this morning and ran out for a quick 30 minutes. The sidewalks were full of puddles and 40 degrees. I often felt like a pin ball as I bounced off the grass and back onto a dryer part of the sidewalk until I finally gave up and embraced the puddles. My sneakers were soggy and my face was smiling.

It was a great time. It was well needed and so glad I can run to clear the cobwebs from my head.
